Connecting People With Art

“Sharing your art enriches my life.  But, more importantly… Sharing your art enriches your life.”  The art we make becomes richer to us by the act of making connections over it.

—Clint Watson, Fine Art Views Founder

Moss Cottage Studio & Gallery is an owner-operated, artist run, private gallery dedicated to promoting local artists.  It is a beautiful little venue that allows us to keep creating. Our Gallery is open for our Mid Summer Art Celebration and for the first weekend in December for our Winter Celebration Art Show from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm or by appointment.  To make an appointment at any time throughout the year please call Bianca at (250) 213-9363.

We love to create beauty and provide a little sense of the old world to our visitors. Our desire is to connect people with art and foster a deeper appreciation for creativity and creative expression.

Winter Creek Pottery, since 1991, is a large working studio where weekly classes and summer workshops take place and students drop in at other times to do their own work.

It is a community of aspiring and established artists (Muriel has been teaching and selling for over 40 years) who love the quiet natural beauty and the companionship of other artists they find here. Above the workshop is the spacious gallery, bright with windows that look into the tree tops. Three of us, at this time, exhibit and sell our work here: Muriel Sibley, Priska Stabel and Gloria Smith.

The little old heritage road, Ross-Durrance, winds through deep hundred-year-old forest and is a special experience of its own.

Two Buildings and 7 Artists. We have 7 well-known local artists displaying quality paintings, pottery, jewelry, photography, and wood sculptures.  325 linear feet of wall display, over 300 quality art items that create beautiful spaces, and objects triggering an emotion and lift the spirit converted horse barn. The owner operators of the gallery are themselves local artists and they privately curate other local artists and artisans, choosing pieces that will suit our customers, if we don’t have the piece the customer is looking for, we strive to find it through our artist connections.  We help established and emerging artisans to market the art they make. From time to time, we donate auction pieces to good causes like land conservation and animal welfare charities. We use archival materials for our production and LEP (limited edition prints) printing.  The art we sell and promote is manufactured right here on the island. Buying from a local artist is good earth practice. There are no shipping or carbon footprint loads to offset, your money stays in the local community where it cycles around to benefit said community. We have free delivery in the CRD area and minimal fuel cost fees for other locations. We also ship through Canada Post which has offset its own carbon footprint. We strive wherever possible in our building and creating the art and gallery operations to use best earth practices. Art with a conscience. We are open Friday to Sunday 10am to 4pm. For out of regular hours viewing call Gabriel at 778-977-2895. https://www.arttinthebarn.galleryRealistic And Accessible Local Art
